Online Booking Terms and Conditions

Pricing

All prices shown online are in Euros and per person per night (unless otherwise stated) based on the chosen occupancy in a twin or double room, studio or one-bedroomed apartment for one or more consecutive night stays.

All prices include Value Added Tax at the current prevailing rate.

Prices are subject to change without notice. However, your price is guaranteed once you are given a confirmation number.

For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of the hotel's bar and the costs of external telephone calls from your room). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, we reserve the right to withdraw the said amount from your credit card.

What the Price Includes

Website prices include accommodation cost (in the chosen room type) as well as the chosen board basis. Accommodation facilities include twin bedrooms (single room for single guests) with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, safe, air-conditioning and private en suite bathroom. Most of the rooms have a balcony and apartments have all the above as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. For a more detailed description, please refer to the description of the chosen room type.

The prices shown online are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and, until you have received your confirmation number, are subject to change without prior notice.

Availability

Availability of rooms at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods. During major sporting events, social events, conferences and exhibitions, the same rates may not be available.

Feature Rooms

You can upgrade your accommodation to a feature room or a suite, on a per room per night basis. Please ask for details at reception as this is done in-house, and is subject to availability.

Single Guests

Individual guests using a single room (where available) are charged the standard per person rate and single supplement rate, as shown online. When no single room is available, individual guests may book a double or twin room and pay a single occupancy supplement.

Children

Children under the age of 2 can stay and eat free, when sharing a room with 2 paying adults on the same meal basis. Children from the ages of 2 to 12 will benefit from a 50% discount on the applicable rates, when sharing a room with 2 paying adults where a suitable room is available. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and sofa beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. The hotel concerned will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer.

Baby Sitting

Baby sitting services are provided as a chargeable extra. This is usually done through reception and the rate varies as to the period and duration of the service. This is usially done whilst in-house.

Guests with Impaired Mobility

Whilst not having special facilities, our property has ramps or lifts to all areas. Usually we assign guests with impaired mobility a ground floor room to make it easier for the guest as well as to maintain safety levels.

Dogs or other pets

Although we are animal lovers, it is hotel policy not to accommodate pets and these are not allowed in our property.

Car Parking

Car parking is free, but there is limited availability, and obviously it is on a first-come-first-served basis. Having said this, parking in the area is never a problem, but remember, the same laws applicable back home are also applicable here and therefore please park diligently in order to avoid unnecessary fines.

Checking In and Out

All Hotel units are available from 14.00 hrs on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel manager.

Meal Arrangements

Based on the selected meal plan, you can opt to stay on room only (or self-catering – which is particularly popular in the apartments), bed & breakfast ( BB) or even half board (HB).

Guest who opt to stay on room only cater for themselves and therefore can cook in their own apartment or choose to eat out. Some people may opt to stay on room only in a hotel room, to benefit from a cheaper rate, but then they have no cooking facilities and are obviously forced to eat out.

Guests who book on BB enjoy a full English breakfast (comprising bacon, sausages, eggs, beans and tomatoes) as well as a selection of cold cuts and bread, cereals, jams, etc as well as juices, milk. Tea and coffee.

Guests who book on HB enjoy the above breakfast as well as dinner where there is always fresh antipasto on the salad counter, soup, pasta, 3 different main courses (of which one is always fish, poultry and another meat) as well as vegetables and potatoes. Guests can ask for chips which is freshly prepared and served in a bowl as on the buffet, these tend to dry up. All this is followed by sweets and fruit.

Health, Leisure and Beauty

Our property has an outdoor swimming pool with ample sun deck and area to relax and enjoy the sun. Our indoor facilities include indoor swimming pool with sauna and jacuzzi as well as fitness room.

Children under 12 are not permitted to use the fitness room, or pool areas unless accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Booking Information

Feel free to book on-line directly from our site. Due to the nature of some of our products, not all of them are available on-line. In case you would like to voice a particular query, please do not hesitate to contact our property directly (on 00356 21585171) where you will find someone who is more than willing to help you out.

If you make a booking online or direct with the hotel, you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/ credit card.

Deposits and Pre-Payments

A deposit or a pre payment may be required and, where required, will be taken, at the time of booking, in accordance with the provisions applying to the product and rate selected by you. In any event, you are required to guarantee your booking with a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. Payment (where no deposit or prepayment is required or otherwise of any balance due) will be taken upon departure. In the event of cancellation payment will be taken in accordance with our cancellation terms. See "Cancellations and Amendments" below for details.

Balance of Monies Outstanding

Prior to your departure from the hotel you will be required to settle your bill.

On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid debit or credit card for the hotel to take an imprint. If you are settling your account in cash, you will be asked for a deposit to cover the cost of your room for your stay (and any extras which you may incur in the hotel will not be chargeable to your room account). Porto Azzurro Aparthotel accepts all major credit cards, including MasterCard, VISA and American Express.

Cancellations and Amendments

All cancellations must be made as early as possible as this allows us to re-sell the room and therefore we would not charge any cancellation fees. In this regard, our cancellation policy is as follows:

If a booking is cancelled within 10 days of arrival

No cancellation fees apply

If a booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival

25% cancellation fees apply

If a booking is cancelled within 3 days of arrival

50% cancellation fees apply

If you simply fail to show up, then the full cancellation fee applies.

Complaints or Comments

Any complaint or comment regarding your stay here should be made in the first instance to the hotel's duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time. We thrive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and will do all it takes to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us.

We also would like your feedback on your stay, both in this site as well as in the customer satisfaction questionnaires which we ask you to fill prior to departure in an effort to help us improve the product accordingly.

General Information

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time.

Porto Azzurro Aparthotel shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in Malta.
